Butterfly Tree

Good evening everyone!

Hope you are all well.

I have had a busy few weeks including a wonderful holiday in Madeira at the beginning of February.  It was lovely to get away to that beautiful island and we really enjoyed the fact that it was so much warmer than here!  Lots of sun too.

This card was one that Barbara Gray created on her blog a while ago and I liked it so much I thought I would have a go!  Needless to remark it is nowhere near as professional as Barbara's but I still am reasonably happy with the result.

For the background I used Distress ink pads - several different colours of yellow and orange. I then spritzed it with water before adding the mountains which were created using Pebble (I think) Adirondak.  The stamp is Clarity Stamps  from the "Butterfly Tree Set".

Hope you like it.

Brushos

Hello There

Hope you are having a good weekend.  We had some snow yesterday but it didn't hang around long.  I am sure that many of you reading this have had a great deal more than us!

This week I am showing you a couple of cards I have made using Brushos for the background.  As I said in my last post some of my results have been a lot better than others and these two are some I was quite pleased with.  They are both very simple cards.

On this card the stamps are Clarity.  I have also put a lot of glitter on but unfortunately you can't see it on the photo.

I have used Ryn's stamps here except for the Happy Birthday which is by Funstamps.  This was the very first stamp I bought many years ago!!

Hope you have a really good week and I will be back soon.

Bare Trees

Hello Everyone

Hope you are all well, enjoying 2015 so far and doing lots of crafting. I have not done as much as I would have liked but am visiting a friend on Tuesday to share a "crafty day" so trying to prepare some cards for her to do while I am there.

The background on this card was created using my Brushos.  It is fairly random but I think it's quite atmospheric.  All stamps used are the lovely Lavinia Stamps and I used Black Archival. I have done quite a few cards with my Brushos now and some of them I am quite pleased with!  They say practice makes perfect!!!

Enjoy your weekend and I will see you soon.

Happy New Year!

Hello there!

Happy New Year to my blog visitors. It's a new year and I am hoping that I can start posting on my blog on a regular basis.   I know I have said that before but this time my aim is to post something at least once a week.  The main reason for this is that I really want to get back into card making again as ( due to a fairly challenging year) I have not been able to do much crafting. If I aim to post at least once a week I HAVE to make some cards!

This card is one I made using Ryn's stamps

.

The background was created using Dylusions inks. I have used the Leafy Branch stamp round the edge and the butterfly is Selini. The leaves and butterfly have been coloured with Promarkers and Selini has black glitter on her wings and is raised up on sticky fixers.  The sentiment stamp is Clarity Stamps.

I'll be back soon.

A Family Hug!

Hello!

What a lovely day outside - it makes you feel so much better! We do deserve more sunny days, don't we?
I went to a craft show at Farnborough earlier this year and bought this set of owl stamps which I love. I am sure you will agree that they are very sweet.

The background was done using Distress Ink Pads and Inkylicious Duster Brushes over a moon mask. The set of stamps are Hobby Art and the card I have made is similar to an example on their stand. The owl stamps are all separate so I stamped them in a line and then just drew in a branch underneath them. The branches at the top and lantern are part of the set. The verse is from a Stamp-it set from Crafters Companion.

Think this is a very cute card and I like the fact  that it can be used for almost any occasion.

Have a lovely weekend.

Spring is Sprung!

Hello There!
Bet you thought I had given up on my blog! However I decided it was about time I posted something again.  Hope you like this one - a simple card but such a lovely stamp.

The stamp, which is a Woodware one, is coloured with Promarkers.  I have put Glossy Accents on the flower and black glitter around the centre of it - then raised it on sticky fixers. As I say a simple card but quite effective.

Glossy Flowers!

Good morning Bloggers!

Back from my holiday in Austria which was wonderful - such a beautiful country and we were so lucky with the weather, lots of sunshine. It's a miserable day here so, as Bob is at golf,  I thought I would spend some time crafting.  This is a card I have just made using colours that are a bit different for me. Hope you like it.

The background is created using a  Splodge Away  mask and Distress Inks.  Then I used a stamp at the corners and edges from a very old set of flourishes that I have.  The flowers are from a Hobby Art clear set and have been coloured with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. The greeting is from the same set of stamps.  I have used Glossy Accents to give them a shine and put black glitter in the centres. Leaves are from a Woodware punch.  Finished off with a Gold Pearl Pen for extra effect.

Thank you for dropping by.
