Glossy Flowers!

Good morning Bloggers!

Back from my holiday in Austria which was wonderful - such a beautiful country and we were so lucky with the weather, lots of sunshine. It's a miserable day here so, as Bob is at golf,  I thought I would spend some time crafting.  This is a card I have just made using colours that are a bit different for me. Hope you like it.

The background is created using a  Splodge Away  mask and Distress Inks.  Then I used a stamp at the corners and edges from a very old set of flourishes that I have.  The flowers are from a Hobby Art clear set and have been coloured with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. The greeting is from the same set of stamps.  I have used Glossy Accents to give them a shine and put black glitter in the centres. Leaves are from a Woodware punch.  Finished off with a Gold Pearl Pen for extra effect.

Thank you for dropping by.

Together Forever!

Hello there

I expect you thought I had given up on my blog but here, finally, is a very quick card that I have made Things have been a bit hectic recently so just haven't got round to doing much card making at all.  However I have made time to look at all your blogs and must say there have been some incredible creations.

The stamp I have used is a Lili of the Valley one, coloured in with Promarkers and finished off with ribbon and gems.  As I said it is very simple but I do love the stamp!! Am off to Austria on Wednesday for a holiday so will be back on my blog  after that!

Raindrops

Hello Bloggers!

As usual its ages since I managed to post on my blog but at last I have got a bit of time so hopefully I will be able to make some cards!! It's been a difficult couple of months as Bob, my husband, has been recovering from heart surgery and consequently has not been able to do much and wanted to go out each day to break the monotony! We have run out of garden centres to visit, and he has even been happy to go clothes shopping with me which is a first! We've also had more coffees and lunches out than I can count which is not good for my waistline! However he is much better now and can drive again so life is getting back to normal.

For my card today I have used the wonderful stamps by Ryn. I love these stamps and am gradually building up my collection. Can't wait for my next order to arrive!

The background has been sprayed with Dylusions inks - it was definitely Lemon Zest but not sure which other colour I used!  Then stamped with the Leafy Branch and Raindrop Set. The flower is African Daisy which has been coloured with Promarkers and some black glitter in the centre. They have been raised up on stick fixers. The "Happy Birthday" is a Chocolate Baroque stamp.

Have a good day

Beautiful Bubbles!

Hi there!

Have not been able to post anything for a while but being as my new stamps have arrived from Ryn I thought I really must have a play!

I sprayed the background with Dylusions Inks - Cut Grass and Vibrant Turquoise and then stamped the Sea Bubbles set with Versafine Onyx Black. I then used the Rising Bubbles stamp (which is the first of my new stamps). The Koi were stamped on white card, coloured with Promarkers and then placed in position.  I finished off with Glossy accents on the Rising Bubbles (although you can't see it in the photo) and the white spots on the Sea Bubbles I have done with my Posca Pen.  All the wonderful stamps are from Ryn. Can't wait to try more of my new ones so watch this space!!

Grungy Poppies!!

Good morning!

Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog and especially to those who have left comments.  I am so thrilled to hear from you all. Just a very quick card today - I was having a play and came up with this simple idea.  Can't make up my mind about it so please let me know what you think!

I have used  a Visible Image  stamp (which Wendy has used before) called Grunge Flourish. I stamped the swirls at the top with Adirondack Red Pepper, then turned the stamp round to get the grungy bit at the bottom.  The poppy stamp and verse are from a Sheena Douglas stamp set called Poppies and Daisies. I have coloured the poppies with Promarkers.

Hope you like it!

Lavinia Stamps Challenge - Bright & Beautiful

I have finally managed to prepare a card for the Lavinia Stamps Challenge. This month the category is Bright & Beautiful so here is my entry!

The background is Pan Pastels in Phthalo Blue and Magenta Shade.  I have used various shades of Versafine dye ink for the wonderful Lavinia  stamps and finished off with Jones Tones silver glitter which is also available from Lavinia Stamps.
Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

Fairy Pretty!!

I am going to make a big effort to keep my blog up to date now. Have not been able to dedicate any time to crafting over the last few months but fortunately things are improving and I should have more "me" time hopefully.  I made this card for my friends birthday this month.  She loves fairies so thought she would like this.

All the stamps are lovely Lavinia except for the Happy Birthday which is Chocolate Baroque. For the background I have used two shades of Cosmic Shimmer Mist - Ocean Sunlight and Mallow Blush. It has been finished off with clear glitter on the flowers, fairy's hair and wings and stars.

Happy 90th Birthday

It was my Aunt's 90th Birthday yesterday and I decided to do an Iris Folding card for her.  This is not a technique I use any more but it just seemed appropriate for the occasion.  She was delighted so it was well worth the time I spent on it!!

The Iris Folding design and papers are DeeCraft.  The flower and leaf punches are an assortment from my stash and the butterfly one is Artoz.  The gems are Docraft Papermania. The greeting is computer generated.

Happy Birthday Molly

Thought it was about time I posted something on my blog after all this time.  Life has just got in the way I'm afraid!

This is a card I made for my granddaughter's 18th birthday. Sorry about the photo - forgot to take a better one before I gave it to her!

I have stamped the background with Ryn's Sea Bubbles set, the die is a Cheery Lyn Designs called Tropical Flourish , flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gems are Artoz
